A Large Authentic Antique Victorian Pools of Light Rock Crystal Locket with Hallmarks documenting Provenance featuring Genuine Quartz Crystal with Crisp Magnification and view images upside down on a Rose Gold Gilt Setting circa 1870s! Originally these Authentic Quartz Crystals were exported from China to Western tourists in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. The Chinese believed these illuminating Quartz Crystal Orbs held special powers. They did not use the same gold and silver standard that was used in the West. Instead they used Chop Marks which guaranteed authenticity and content. The practice lasted in China until 1933. This Quartz Crystal Locket has two Chop Marks which authenticates the earliest known history and ownership of the Locket.

Documenting Provenance with the Gold Standard Import Stamp, Assay Letter and Makers Mark with Clear Quartz Crystal, Crisp Magnification set on a Brilliant Genuine Gold Setting circa 1880s! Originally these Authentic Quartz Crystals were exported from China to the Western World in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. The Chinese believed these illuminating Quartz Crystal Orbs held special powers. This Quartz Crystal Locket was imported to Austria-Hungary circa 1872 to 1922. It has the 14K Gold Standard Fox Head Hallmark (Irregular Hexagon) with the Fox Head facing to the left; the letter A to the left of it, and a number 4 on the right of it. The letter A stands for the Vienna (Wien) Central Assay Office in Austria. The number 4 stands for the fourth stand for gold in Austria which is 14K Gold. Fox Head A4 = 14 carat, Vienna, Austria! This authenticates the earliest known history of the Locket.
Signed inside MEXICO 925 TC-304. The "T" stands for Taxco City in Mexico where this Vintage Earrings were made and the "C" is the initial for the Maker's first or last name.

The Shamrock Shape Flower symbolizes Good Luck and Fortune. During the later half of the Victorian Era, clothing had become lighter and softer where dainty jewelry such as this became the style.
